VIDEO: Draymond Green exits to Warriors locker room with injury after scary collision

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green was forced to exit Friday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs due to what appeared to be a knee injury.

Late in the second quarter of the game, Green collided with a running Tre Jones, during which he clearly hurt his right knee. He quickly grabbed his knee and proceeded to limp off to the sidelines before he was brought to the locker room.

Here’s the exact moment Green sustained the injury:

Fortunately for the Warriors, Draymond Green’s injury isn’t as serious as it appeared. He was able to start the second half for the team, easing the concerns of fans.

Here’s to hoping that Green’s knee issue won’t bother him moving forward, though. With just a few games left in the season, the Dubs can’t really afford to have him sidelined. While the Warriors are the sixth seed entering the Spurs showdown, they could still end up in the Play-In if they go on a losing skid.

Green is averaging 8.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.0 steals this 2022-23 season. While those are not really eye-popping numbers, he remains the defensive anchor of the team.

The Warriors play the Denver Nuggets next on Sunday, so Dray will have a one-day rest before returning to action. Golden State will then play the Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers to end the season.

For now, Dubs fans can only hope for the best when it comes to the health of Green and the rest of the team.
