On Wednesday, Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers took down the Memphis Grizzlies at the Crypto.com Arena, 141-132. These two teams go at it again in a rematch on Friday night, and this time around, it’s the Grizzlies who get to host the Clippers at the FedExForum. Unsurprisingly, Memphis fans came prepared as they provided Westbrook with a not-so-warm welcome for Friday’s clash.
A few fans sitting courtside were spotted wearing shirts that had a special message dedicated especially to Russ. Their shirts had a savage one-word message for the Clippers star: “Westbrick.”

That’s savage. These aren’t your typical fans either. These folks were sitting courtside for a marquee matchup against the Clippers, so you know that they have some pull. The disrespect is real.
Obviously, Grizzlies fans are feeling a bit salty after Russ torched them on Wednesday with a vintage performance. Westbrook dropped a season-high 36 points on 13-of-18 shooting, to go along with four rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks, and two turnovers in 36 minutes of action. Russ led the charge for LA on a night that both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were forced to sit out.
Russell Westbrook will be looking to keep his foot on the gas for Friday’s rematch. The fact that the Grizzlies fans are hating on him hard should only serve as motivation for the former league MVP. After all, this is far from his first rodeo, and apparently, Russ owns a bit of real estate in the heads of Memphis supporters.
